Introduction

Smart City & Construction Engineering aims to cultivate urban engineering experts who converge and integrate advanced technologies and environmental technologies which are necessary for constructing the future city as a solution to the urban problems. Based on the “Cyber Physical System” which applies advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and Big Data and “Eco-friendly Physical System” which improves existing infrastructure construction technologies, urban system in the future will be developed into a sustainable urban system. We aim to cultivate experts who understand the urban system by shaping detailed majors including construction environment engineering, transportation and logistics system & ITS engineering, and geotechnical & geo-space engineering for cultivating convergent and integrated type of talented people who understand the planning, design, construction and maintenance of the future city and solve the urban problems. We plan to operate a specialized education program which is designed to share Korean construction experience and potential for Koreans and foreigners. In addition, we plan to develop various Co-op degree programs that reflect the needs of the industrial field.

Specialized Majors

Urban & Transportation System Engineering

Transportation and Logistics System & ITS Engineering mainly focuses on theory and technology involving national transport system planning, establishment, evaluation, service design, operation, profit management, and maintenance, In addition, the major provides a full range of education about advanced transportation and logistics technology and application with using research facilities such as advanced roads and transportation facility.

Construction Environment Engineering

Construction Environment Engineering covers the whole field of environmental engineering and water resources such as advanced wastewater treatment, advanced drinking water treatment, disposal and recycling of waste, contaminated soil and underground water restoration, watershed environmental management. Study progress in each subject combines lectures about fundamental theory with field studies through pilot plants prepared for research projects. e narrow nations’s land use and deal with geotechnical engineering technologies with extreme and futuristic conditions such as moon and Mars.

Geotechnical & Geo-Space Engineering

Geotechnical & Geo-Space Engineering provides an academic curriculum for real-scale fundamental studies and geotechnical applications to characterize mechanical behavior of the ground. On this basis, we will develop technologies in order to optimize the narrow nations’s land use and deal with geotechnical engineering technologies with extreme and futuristic conditions such as moon and Mars.

After Graduation

Our graduates will be in charge of technical applications of environmental engineering a wide variety of fields such as environment related industries. Also, they will take leading roles in environmental technology related industries and environment fields, which will be the base of future industry.
